Also, that’s probably one of my favorite Edison quotes ever. My number one would definitely be
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”
No offense! Those are excellent quotes! Ones you ponder over and try to relate word for word later on to someone else! 🙂

“If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it.”
— Margaret Fuller
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” —Margaret Mead
“Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
—Eleanor Roosevelt
“I’ve learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances.”
—Martha Washington
“As a woman I have no country. As a woman my country is the whole world.”
—Virginia Woolf
And, my personal favorite, no matter what anyone says:
“I’m as pure as the driven slush.”
-Tallulah Bankhead

These are all great quotes…and I am a quote hound. But, maybe, as a woman, I like to know that my own gender (people I most relate to for obvious reasons) have witty and poignant things to say about life.
I’d be happy to share some I’ve found if you’re open to that. 🙂
Hi, nice list. I’ve just read it and started feeling more motivated while reading. 🙂
Churchill’s and Twain’s are my favorites.
Thanks!
