MindValley Clears Up Clickbank Affiliates Cookies Issue
This is an update to MindValley Caught Red-Handed Cheating on Clickbank Affiliates.
I managed to get in touch with Vishen Lakhiani, founder of MindValley, and this update is the preliminary findings from his team. The gist is that I was signed up under a special older sublist and that MindValley did use their own Clickbank ID when blasting out to this list… albeit purely for tracking purposes.
MindValley would like to reassure all clickbank affiliates that they have taken steps to correct this such that they will no longer use their own affiliate ID in future emails so that there would be no chance of overwriting affiliate cookies.
(The following is from the email that Vishen sent me)

I spoke to Sabri and Fatemeh who run the SGR Program.com site and here is their explanation. Turns out it is not a mistake. But I agree with you that it was confusing and we need to explain this better.
Also sorry Brian did not respond to you, but it is Christmas and he was probably spending time with family. Brian is otherwise very good at being in touch with our affiliates.

Hi Yee,
Thank you for providing us more information on this and we have completed a preliminary investigation on this issue.
I would like to apologize for any miscommunication on our part for this case. I will also walk you through steps we have taken to make sure no such accidents happened in the future.
First of all, you are receiving the Christmas email promo because you are an old lead of ours. You signed up in 2008 and we have a special sublist for this old leads.
This old sublist are the one which we blast the Christmas promo. As this lists are built by us many months ago, we use our own Clickbank ID when blasting. Purely for tracking purposes now that the site is on ClickBank.
Hope this clear it up with you why you receive the emails with our MindValley CB link.
That email was only sent to leads on our former system, the older, non-CB system of which you had signed up.
In short – the Christmas promo email would not have gone out to leads under you.
You were simply signed up in two ways:
1. as an affiliate on our old system
2. as a lead under MindValley
Having explain that, we are very adamant also to make sure we do not overwrote our affiliates cookie with ours in the future. Affiliates are our lifeblood and these are steps we have taken:
1) Current leads referred by our affiliates on the landing page are added to a special sublist in our system. We will protect and give special care to this sublist because they are referred by our affiliates.
2) When we do a promo in the future (eg: New year's), we will not use our own affiliate link anymore so that there is zero chance that we overwrote any of our affiliates cookies already in the leads PC. Again, we only use this for tracking purposes. But I can see how this can disrupt someone else's leads if in the rare case both were on CB.
As a side note, the leads we sent the Christmas Promo to were largely dead leads. Those that have been inactive for months. So it would be rare that a hot lead on your list would also reside on our Christmas Promo old lead list.
I also would like to let you know that we have just transferred our lists & sublists to a new autoresponder system. This will improve email deliverability from what our previous system has. This will impact our affiliates income as more promo emails will be read, more sales will be made hence more commission to the affiliates.
The new system is Office Autopilot. We moved away from Autoresponse Plus.
The URL you saw in the email was not a cloaked URL. It was just the URL used by Office Autopilot for link tracking.
Last but not least, I also notice that you send your promo to your 4K list but did not make any money. I would love to work with you and do a post mortem why that promo does not work. We have help a few of our affiliates do a turn around on their campaign. Would love to see how I can help you with that.
If you need any further explanation, feel free to contact me.
Best Regards
Fatemeh
